Joseph Howard Long, age 61, of 3797 Gaston Webbs Chapel Road in Crouse, died on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bud Painter officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Long was born October 26, 1956, in Homestead, Florida, to the late William Howard and Martha Mauney Long. He worked for Carolina Air Solutions.
He is survived by a son, Jason Howard Long, and wife Jessica, of Statesville; a daughter, Valerie Marie Long Stiles of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Taylor Stiles and Cash Long; and two sisters, Judy Brown Gordon of Cherryville and Libby Brown Pate of Rutherfordton.
