Obituaries

Mr. Harold Mitchell Withers, age 85, of Country Club Road in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, February 10, 2018.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Ingle officiating.  Burial will follow in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Withers was born April 4, 1932 in Catawba County to the late Charlie and Edna Pierce Withers.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Osborne, Troy, J.L. and James Withers.  Mr. Withers was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  He was the former owner of Withers Body Shop.

Survivors include his wife Mary Mauney Withers of the home; one daughter, Sharon Michelle Withers of Lincolnton; one sister, Moenner Shrum of Lincolnton; one brother, Flint Withers of Ohio; one grandson, Sinclair Killian and one granddaughter, Aleena Killian, both of Lincolnton.
