Lois Sherrill Bean

Lois Sherrill Bean, age 93, of Denver, died on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Beth Haven Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Whitman and Rev. David Mims officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Bean was born July 20, 1924, in Gaston County, to the late Houston H. and Lottie Estelle Helton Sherrill. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Vergil Elijah Bean; a son, Bobby Bean; two brothers, Griffin Sherrill and Monroe Sherrill; and two sisters, Ruby Caldwell and Nancy Sherrill. She retired from Carolina Glove.
She is survived by two sons, James Bean, and wife Violet, and Tim Bean, all of Denver; two daughters, Gail Bean and Vickie Correll, both of Denver; a sister, Dorothy Schronce of Denver; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Beth Haven Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 156, Denver, NC 28037.
