Bobbie Clanton Propst
( November 29, 1929 - March 3, 2018 )
Mrs. Bobbie Clanton Propst, age 88, of Commonwealth Drive in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Abernethy Laurels.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2018 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Bigham officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:45 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Propst was born November 29, 1929, in Catawba County to the late Frank and Etta Sherrill Clanton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mark Propst, Jr. and two brothers, Don Clanton and Glenn Clanton. She was retired from textiles.
Bobbie was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a great friend to many. The family wants to thank all of her caregivers, nurses and doctors for the exceptional care. Also, thanks go out to all of the family members and friends for their many visits.
Survivors include one son, Robert Mark Propst, III, (Janine) of Bluffton, SC; two daughters, Donna Talbert Hoyle (Warren) and Lisa Propst Hoyle (Wayne), of Denver; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209, or to Boger City Baptist Church, 2201 E. Main Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
