Gary Michael Deaton

Gary Michael Deaton, age 64, of Cinderella Drive in Dallas, died on Sunday, March 11, 2018.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, in Hardin, with Rev. Jonathan Schnibben officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Gary was born May 5, 1953, in Cleveland County, to the late Boyd Lee and Alma Millie Houser Deaton. He worked as a supervisor in textiles.
He is survived by his wife, Fonda Long Deaton of the home; a daughter, Starla Renee Smith, and husband Ray, of Denver; a sister, Cecelia Kuykendall, and husband Dennis, of Bessemer City; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ken and Eileen Deyton of Lincolnton; brother-in-law, Ronald T. Long of Dallas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 531 Hardin Road, Dallas, NC 28034.
