Melvin Hulick Shronce, Sr.
( October 21, 1942 - March 31, 2018 )
Melvin Hulick Shronce, Sr., age 75, of 5639 Highway 73 in Iron Station, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 31, 2018.
His funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Edward Reese officiating. Burial will follow in the East Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Shronce was born October 21, 1942, and was the son of the late Hulick Cosby and Eurver Michaels Shronce. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Elliott Shronce and Ben Lester Schronce, and a daughter, Elizabeth Shronce. He was a member of East Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church since 1980. He had a love for honeybees and a passion for God.
Mr. Shronce is survived by his wife, Janice Shronce of Iron Station; one daughter, Carolyn S. Stilwell, and husband Nelson; two sons, Melvin Shronce, Jr. and Kenny Shronce “Bo”, and his wife Elizabeth; two granddaughters, Tiffany and Brittany Stilwell; four brothers, John Shronce, Dale Shronce, Floyd “Chick” Shronce, and Boyce Shronce; and three sisters, Joyce Reel, Janice Hinkle, and Virginia “Jenny” Miller.
Memorials may be made to East Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church, 4769 E. Highway 73, Iron Station, NC 28080.
