Summer Elizabeth Barber

Summer Elizabeth Barber, age 18, of 584 Guy F. Beal Lane in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, April 1, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Summer was born May 24, 1999, in Mecklenburg County, to Johnny Barber and Betty Ann Beal. She was a student at Lincolnton High School where she was enrolled in the nursing credentials class. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Guy F. Beal and Missie Beal, and an uncle, Guy Duke Beal.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Ann Beal of Lincolnton; her father, Johnny Barber of Sherrills Ford; uncle and aunt, Chris and Ann Beal of Lincolnton; cousins, Heather Beal, Beth Alley, and husband Rusty, Lee Beal, Kearsyn Alley and Kaelyn Alley, all of Lincolnton; and step-sister, Chasity Barber; and paternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Johnny Paul Barber, Sr.
Memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, PO Box 676, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
