Robert Reginald Friday

Robert Reginald Friday, age 67, of Erin Drive in Dallas, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Hardin Community Baptist Church with Rev. Fain Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Hardin Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Reggie was born March 19, 1951, in Gaston County, to the late Robert Howard and Sara Lois Lineberger Friday. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kimberly Brianna Mauldin, and a sister, Sara Diane Willard. He worked for Wix Filters and Wiser Security.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Anne Gore Friday of the home; two daughters, Sonya Ward, and husband Ben, and Carrie Stroup, and husband Matthew, all of Stanley; stepchildren, Stephen Moore, and wife Nora, of Cherryville, and Christina Cannaday, and husband Scott, of Oklahoma; sixteen grandchildren, Gregory Tyler, III, Robert Stroup, Shannon Swift, John Ward, Colbin Swift, Timothy Swift, Khloe Vestal, Lilly ward, Carsyn Ward, Ashley Cannaday, Kevin Cannaday, Haydan Cannaday, Katie Cannaday, Kyle Moore, Sierra Moore, and Tyler Moore; two brothers, Lamar Friday and Tony Friday; and three furbabies, Jersey, Simba and Jasmine.
Memorials may be made to Hardin Community Baptist Church, 548 Hardin Road, Dallas, NC 28034, or to Robin Johnson Hospice House, c/o Gaston Hospice, 258 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054.
