Obituaries

Tellease Evelyeen “Sis” Neal Stamey, age 57, of 1158 Tiny Trail, Lincolnton died Sunday, April 22, 2018.

Her funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Leonards Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Jaie Warlick officiating.  Her body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stamey was born on March 19, 1961. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Neal, Sr., her son, Donald Andrew “Andy” Stamey and one brother, Steve Richard Neal. Mrs. Stamey was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, James Stamey of the home; one daughter, Evelyn O’Neal Stamey Helms and husband, Samuel of Maiden; two step-children, Vickie Stamey Ingle and husband, Calvin of Lincolnton and James Randall Stamey of Lincolnton; her mother, Evelyeen Heavener Neal of Crouse; three brothers, Don Neal, Jr. and wife, Sandy of Crouse, Ronnie Neal and wife, Carolyn of Crouse and David Neal and wife, Bobbi of Crouse; two sisters, Shelia Helms and husband, Richard of Crouse and Tina Owens and husband, Roger of Lawndale; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three nieces and six nephews.

Memorials may be made to the C.A.R.E. Team at Leonards Fork Baptist Church, 1462 Leonards Fork Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
