Edward "Hurley" Belton

Edward “Hurley” Belton, age 72, of McCloud Street in Denver, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Hurley was born June 11, 1945, in Washington, DC, to the late James Hurley and Glady Lee Waller Belton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Robin Love Belton; a son, David Todd Wofford; three brothers, Don Belton, Harry Belton, and Michael Belton; and two sisters, Carolyn Ann Belton and Barbara Belton Whisnant. He worked for Commscope.
He is survived by two sons, Edward Allen Belton, and wife Lori, of Lincolnton and Adam Wade Belton, and wife Nichelle, of Delaware; a daughter, Tina Belton Johnson, and husband Danny, of Iron Station; his girlfriend and caregiver, Evelyn Annette Cox, of the home; six brothers, Bobby Belton, Johnny Belton, Richard Belton, Raymond Belton, Dean Belton, and Mark Belton; a sister, Arlene Belton Webb; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658, or to the ALS Association, PO Box 37022, Boone, IA 50032-0022.
