Obituaries

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Boger City Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Bigham officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Boger City Baptist Church.

Mr. Ledford was born September 23, 1944, in Gaston County, to the late Rev. A.V. and Sue Faulkner Ledford.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Lloyd Ledford.  Mr. Ledford is a veteran having served in the United States Army.  He was owner/operator of Ledford Upholstery in Lincolnton.

Survivors include his wife, Frances “Cissy” Lineberger Ledford of the home; two sons, William “Billy” Ralph Ledford, Jr. of Shelby and Davey Lance Ledford of Lincolnton; five brothers, Leonard Ledford of Connelly Springs, Leon Ledford of Icard, Doug Ledford of Maiden, Richard Ledford of Warne, NC and Cecil Ledford of Kannapolis; one sister, Naomi Daugherty of Icard; three grandchildren, William Austin Ledford, Ella Davis Ledford and Eden Dare Ledford.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boger City Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall, 2201 E. Main Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
