Obituaries

Woodrow Shrum, age 100, of Lincolnton died Thursday, May 24, 2018.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 27, 2018 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Barnett officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Matthews Reformed Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Shrum, a lifelong farmer, was born in Lincoln County on January 28, 1918 and was the son of the late H. Albert Shrum and Dora Drum Shrum. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Hazel Beal Shrum, his daughter, Cynthia G. Shrum, four sisters and six brothers. 
Mr. Shrum is survived by two daughters, Robin Elizabeth Shrum and Jane S. Lemmond; one son, Albert D. Shrum; two grandchildren, Richard Wayne Shrum and Pamela S. Baucom; three great-grandchildren, Candace Carpenter, Andrew Shrum and Ashley Shrum; four great-great-grandsons Jordan, Cristian, Wells and Daniel.
