Jerry Dean Rucker

Mr. Jerry Dean Rucker, age 82, of 795 Old Lincolnton-Crouse Road in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, May 26, 2018.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church with Rev. Avery White officiating. His body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Rucker was born July 20, 1935, in Lincoln County, to the late Paul Washington and Frances Carswell Rucker. He was retired from furniture manufacturing where he worked as a supervisor.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Hoke Rucker of the home; three sons, Stan Rucker and wife Gina of Lincolnton, Philip Rucker and wife Barbara of Monroe and Derek Rucker and wife Sheena of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Morgan and Christopher Rucker of Monroe; step grandchildren, Kelly McCumber, Kevin Ledford, Carrie Oaks and Krystal Cutshaw; step great grandchildren, Zoe and Zada McCumber, Mercer, Cooper, Baker, and Sadie Ledford, Elizabeth, Kaylee and Adylyn Cutshaw, Noah and Christian Oaks.
