Estelle Helen Anderson Mitchell

Estelle Helen Anderson Mitchell, age 88, of Hickory Nut Lane in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Gloryland Baptist Church with Rev. Macon Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Mitchell was born March 6, 1930, in Galax, Virginia, to the late Benton and Mary Inez Hawks Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Mitchell; a son, Guy Mitchell; and four brothers, Paul Anderson, Briscoe Anderson, Lonnie Anderson, and Grove Anderson. She worked in furniture manufacturing.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Mitchell of Lincolnton; two daughters, Wavie Maynor of Lincolnton and Pam Abernathy of Surfside Beach, SC; one brother, Eugene Anderson; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
