Sylvia Diane Price Moody
( August 31, 1946 - June 8, 2018 )
Sylvia Diane Price Moody, age 71, of Highland Drive in Lincolnton, died on Friday, June 8, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018, at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Yount officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Diane was born August 31, 1946, in Union County, to the late Theron W. and Eunice Nash Price. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, T.W. Price. She retired from the Lincoln County Department of Social Services, and was a faithful member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church. About the age of 15, she started playing the piano and organ at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church. She also taught Sunday School in the youth department and adult department. Diane was a devoted mother to her boys and grandkids and loved having all the family over for Sunday lunch.
Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Rick Moody, and wife Renee, of Lincolnton, Steve Moody, and wife Amy, of Mooresville, Bill Moody of Lincolnton, and Brian Moody, and wife Dawn, of Lincolnton; a sister, Martha Price of Matthews; six grandchildren, Lauryn Sailors, and husband Brian, Bailey Moody, Madison Moody, Korbyn Moody, Reece Moody, and Rylan Moody; and two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Sailors and Rhett Sailors.
