Myra Lee Gardner Ewing

Myra Lee Gardner Ewing, age 86, of Pinewood Drive in Lincolnton, died on Monday, June 11, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2018, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Scott Shoffner officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 6:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ewing was born March 22, 1932, in Lincoln County, to the late John Robert Gardner, Sr. and Flossie Lawing Gardner. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Gene Tunney Ewing, Sr.; three brothers, Charles, John Jr., and David Gardner; and five sisters, Pauline Hawkins, Ruth Warren, Tynce Freeman, Betty Poole, and Joyce Poovey. Mrs. Ewing was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by four sons, Michael Anthony Ewing of Catawba, Mark Powell Ewing of Lincolnton, Ronald Lee Ewing of Lincolnton, and Gene T. Ewing, Jr. of Lincolnton; a daughter, Judy Ewing Huffstetler of Lincolnton; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at CHS – Main, 9th floor, CHS – Lincoln Emergency Department, and the Lincoln County EMS.
