Gladys Schronce Goodson

Gladys Schronce Goodson, age 96, of Goodson Road in Maiden, died on Wednesday, June 20, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018, at Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Kelly Whitener officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Goodson was born July 9, 1921, in Lincoln County, to the late William C. and Eunice Goodson Schronce. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Burgin Wilson Goodson, four brothers, and three sisters. She was retired from Ethan Allen Furniture.
She is survived by a son, Kermit Goodson, and wife Diane, of Maiden; a daughter, Yvonne Cromer of Lincolnton: five grandchildren, John Cromer, and wife Kathy, Linda Goodson, and husband Stan, and Laura Cromer, all of Lincolnton, Emily Walmsley, and husband Greg, of Monroe, and Amy Hauck, and husband Justin, of Belmont; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church, c/o Sharon Lynch, 4923 Butner Drive, Hickory, NC 28602, or the charity of one’s choice.
