Billy Andrew Seagle

Billy Andrew Seagle, age 90, of Seagletown Road in Vale, died on Sunday, July 15, 2018.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Daniels Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Billy was born September 6, 1927, in Lincoln County, to the late Edgar Lee and Ocie Dellinger Seagle. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Leonard Seagle; and two sisters, Elizabeth Seagle and Barbara Seagle Whaley.
Billy met his wife, Charlotte, at youth functions shared by Grace Church and Daniels Church. They were engaged when Billy joined the Army and served in Korea. On returning home, Billy married Charlotte on August 10, 1952. They had two children, Janet Sue Seagle (now Radford) and Dorothy Jean Seagle. Faith was always a large part of Billy’s family and continues to be today with his surviving family members.
He is survived by two daughters, Janet Seagle Radford and Dorothy Jean “Dotty” Seagle, both of Vale; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests no flowers and that those attending the services wear no fragrances. In lieu of floral arrangements, memorials may be made to Daniels Lutheran Church, 3170 Reepsville Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
