Lester Hayes Rogers

Lester Hayes Rogers, age 84, of S. Aspen Street in Lincolnton, died on Monday, August 13, 2018.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the Old Mother Church Cemetery in Robbinsville, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Rogers was born October 25, 1933, in Graham County, to the late Carmel Dexter Rogers and Arzelia Greene Rogers. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Rogers. He served in the United States Army and then later worked in furniture manufacturing.
He is survived by a daughter, Tammey Renee Rogers of Vale; two sons, Mickey Ray Rogers, and wife Barbara, of Denver, and Jeffery Lee Rogers, and wife Diana, of Lincolnton; three brothers, Donald Rogers, Lowell Rogers, and Larry Rogers; two sisters, Rita Hamrick and Betty Rogers; three grandchildren, Tinnie Jean Thompson, Wesley Rogers, and Daniel Rogers; and five great-grandchildren, McQuay Rogers, Gage Rogers, Sierra Thompson, Nathan Thompson, and Kaitlyn Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Funeral Fund of Lester Rogers, c/o Warlick Funeral Home, PO Box 1407, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
