Ruby Faye Fogle
( March 21, 1936 - August 14, 2018 )
Ruby Faye Fogle, age 82, of Blades Trail in Denver, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at Unity Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall.
Ruby was born March 21, 1936, in Texarkana, TX, to the late Thelma Kelly-Sellman. She married the love of her life, Henry Leon Fogle, in Texas in 1957, celebrating almost 61 years of marriage.
Ruby Faye loved to cook, play games (in which she was hard to beat!), and loved working in her many gardens. She also enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with family.
After being born in Texas, she moved to California and raised her children until her husband’s job allowed her to travel the world with him. After Henry’s retirement, they settled in Denver, North Carolina, where she lived for 30 years surrounded by loving and supportive friends, family and neighbors.
Faye was proud of being born in Texas, but loved her life in North Carolina living on Lake Norman. She loved her community and was involved with Unity Presbyterian Church, Westport Community Association, and East Lincoln Betterment Association.
Her biggest accomplishment was being an incredible and unforgettable wife, mother and grandmother (a.k.a. Nana) to which she dedicated her life.
With Faye in heaven, it will make it so much easier for us to accept our own passing knowing she’ll be waiting to greet each and every one of us with love, grace and open arms.
She is surrounded by her daughters and loved ones: Cathy Fogle-Davino of Napa, CA, Christina Fogle-Hibben, and her husband David, of Denver, NC, Cynthia Fogle-D’Alessio, and her husband Ben, of Denver, NC; her brother, Donald Sellman of Washington, DC; her sister, Audrey Posey of Fresno, CA; five grandchildren, Sierra Michelle Thomas, Nicholas Anthony Davino, Ben Anthony D’Alessio, Savanna Marie Thomas, and Sophia Faye D’Alessio.
Contributions can be made to Unity Presbyterian Church, 8210 Unity Church Road, Denver, NC 28037.
