Juanita "Nita" Martin Mobley Disher

Juanita “Nita” Mobley Disher, age 90, of Lincolnton, died on Saturday, August 25, 2018.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 2, 2018, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tony Matthews officiating. The family will receive friends in the Philathea Class following the service.
Nita was born August 20,1928, in Pensacola, Florida, where she married her high school sweetheart, Alton Vaughn “Cotton” Mobley, to whom she was married for 30 years until his death in 1977.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Ralph W. Disher. Nita and Ralph moved to Lincolnton in 2003 to be close to her daughters. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the DAR, Work and Grow Garden Club, and the Review Book Club.
She is survived by daughters, Karen M. Eakins and Suzanne M. Mauney of Lincolnton; stepson, Scott D. Disher, and wife Cynthia, of San Antonio, TX; a brother, John F. Martin of Edgewater, FL; a sister, Joyce M. Ragan of Pensacola, FL; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Main Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
