Dorothy Wilhelmina Thomas Davis Roberson, age 86, of Dogwood Avenue in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, September 26, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at New Vision Ministries with Rev. Scott Mann and Rev. Jeff Hull officiating. Burial will follow in the River View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
Mrs. Roberson was born May 12, 1932, in Lincoln County, to the late James and Mary Lester Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Bud George Davis; second husband, Bo Roberson; two sons, Ronnie and Donnie Davis; four brothers; and eight sisters. She worked in textiles for Leslie Fay.
She is survived by three sons, Gary Davis (LouAnn), Rick Davis (Patricia), and Tony Davis, all of Lincolnton; a daughter, LouAnn Bumgarner (Allen) of Lincolnton; a sister, Frankie Barkley of Shelby; six grandchildren, Stacy Davis, Wendy Wright, Chris Bumgarner, Jodie Freeman, Amy Robinson, and Tonya Myers; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her caregiver, Lynn Davis.
