Thomas Edwin Roach
( March 15, 1933 - November 7, 2018 )
Thomas Edwin Roach, age 85, of Smith Farm Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Meg Gaston officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Warlick Funeral Home from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
Mr. Roach was born March 15, 1933, in Alexander County, to the late Henry Lee and Addie Lynch Roach. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brother, Henry Lee Roach; and three sisters, Joyce Roach Avery, Linda Roach Wilkinson, and Emily Roach Howard. He served in the United States Air Force, during the Korean Conflict, where he was a civil servant aircraft mechanic at Andrews Air Force Base. Mr. Roach retired after 37 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Ermintrude Grigg Roach of the home; a son, Charles Edwin Roach (Susan) of Lincolnton; two daughters, Karen Cayer (David) of Charlotte, and Dianne Elaine Perkins of Lincolnton; a brother, Charles William Roach (Debbie) of Lincolnton; three sisters, Martha Sigmon and Charlotte Lynch, both of Lincolnton, and Sandra Huffsteller (Johnny) of High Shoals; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Cayer, Steven Tyler, Kelly Neal, Regina Lopez (Israel), Christopher Thomas Roach, Kimberly Dodgin, Samantha Clanton (Chad) and Nicholas Marcone; and three great-grandchildren, Madeline and Lillian Neal, and Sage Walker Clanton.
