Kevin Ray Dorton

Kevin Ray Dorton, age 60, of Vesuvius Furnace Road in Iron Station, died on Thursday, November 8, 2018.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2018, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. on Sunday at Warlick Funeral Home. A memorial service will also be held in Kingsport, Tennessee at a later date.
Mr. Dorton was born November 18, 1957, in Neubrecke, Germany, to Otis Ray and Linda Ketron Dorton. He was the owner of Capital Conservation Group.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie C. Dorton of the home; a son, Scott Dorton (Kristi) of Clemmons, NC; his parents, Otis and Linda Dorton of Kingsport, TN; a brother, Mark Dorton (Kristy) of Mt. Carmel, TN; two sisters, Lisa Castle (Dave), and Marla Morrison (Buddy) all of Kingsport, TN; and two grandchildren, Peyton Dorton and Paisley Dorton, who were the lights of his life.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 205 Regency Executive Park Drive, Suite 102, Charlotte, NC 28217.
