Rev. William (Bill) Richard Doser

Rev. William (Bill) Richard Doser, age 87, of Aldersgate Retirement Community, Charlotte, died on Sunday, November 25, 2018. He formerly resided at 605 S. Poplar Street in Lincolnton.
A graveside service with inurnment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Hollybrook Cemetery, 302 Hollybrook Avenue, Lincolnton, with Rev. David Wyant officiating.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 1001 Queens Road, Charlotte, NC 28207.
Rev. Doser was born September 29, 1931, in Cleveland Ohio. . He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Sigmon Doser and parents, William Earl Doser and Mollie Buxton Doser. A graduate of Duke Divinity School at Duke University, he was a United Methodist minister serving in the Western NC Conference. He created Doser Designs and published two books, “Clergy Stoles for Needlepoint or Cross Stitch” and “Church Paraments in Needlework.”
He is survived by numerous cousins.
