Dorothy Ellen Spencer Payseur

Dorothy Ellen Spencer Payseur, age 78, of Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018, at Webbs Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Payseur was born September 3, 1940, in Cleveland County, to the late Daniel Sidney and Sarah Viola Brittain Spencer. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Payseur, Sr.; two brothers, Carroll Spencer and Donald Spencer; two step-brothers, James Spencer and Paul Spencer; and a step-sister, Mary Lee Powell. She worked as a seamstress for Lincolnton Manufacturing. Dorothy was a wonderful mom who loved her family and church, and enjoyed reading and sewing.
She is survived by two sons, John Sidney Payseur, and James Lee Payseur, Jr., and wife Debra, all of Lincolnton; two brothers, L.J. Spencer and Charles Ray Spencer, both of Lincolnton; a sister, Effie Muriel Paysour, and husband Clyde, of Lincolnton; and a half-sister, Geraldine Davis of Lincolnton;
