Betty Gantt Welch

Betty Gantt Welch, age 77, of Hillside Drive in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, December 2, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Land officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Welch was born October 30, 1941, in Cleveland County, to the late Hazel and Alda Sue Heavner Gantt. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Welch; and two brothers, Richard and Roy Gantt. She worked as a cook at Zipper’s Restaurant.
Mrs. Welch is survived by sons, Paul Lail, and wife Elaine, of Maiden, and John Lail, and wife Gail, of Lincolnton; four daughters, Cindy Taylor, Annie Carpenter, Becky Bennett, and husband Chris, and Lisa Lail, all of Lincolnton; a brother, Bobby Gantt; three sisters, Faye Reynolds, Patsy Sipe, and Gail Williams; twelve grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
