Fonda Long Deaton

Fonda Long Deaton, age 64, of Cinderella Drive in Dallas, died on Friday, November 30, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hardin with Rev. John Duncan and Rev. Chris Westmoreland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Fonda was born September 19, 1954, in Lincoln County, to the late James Augustus Long and Virginia Wright Long. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Gary Michael Deaton, and a brother, James “Chuck” Long. She graduated from Auburn University and worked at CVS as a pharmacist for thirty-eight years. Fonda was also a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a brother, Ronald Thomas Long of Dallas; a sister, Eileen Long Deyton, and husband Kenneth, of Lincolnton; God-daughter, Jennifer Ashley Clark of Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, “Navajo Mission Trip”, 531 Hardin Road, Dallas, NC 28034.
