Augustus "Doobie" Giles High

Augustus “Doobie” Giles High, age 76, of Windy Hill Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of High Shoals with Rev. Doug McClain and Rev. Charles Ingle officiating. Burial will follow in High Shoals Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. High was born January 24, 1942, in Gaston County, to the late Carl and Eula Mae Poteat High.
He is survived by four brothers, Marvin High of the home, Lewis High and Norman High, both of Lincolnton, and Donald High of Gastonia.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of High Shoals, 600 N. Lincoln Street, High Shoals, NC 28077, or to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
