Janice Faye Scronce Brooks

Janice Faye Scronce Brooks, age 78, of Lincolnton, died Friday, January 4, 2019.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Ms. Brooks was born April 5, 1940, in Cleveland County, to Taltha Sain Scronce and the late Leonard B. Scronce. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Eugene Scronce. She was a well-loved educator for 31 years in the Lincoln County School System.
She is survived by her mother, Taltha Scronce of Denver; three daughters, Renee Brooks of Denver, Terri McLean of Stanley, and Karen Kellett of Hillsborough; four grandchildren, Kara, Kaycee, Cameron, and Conner; three great-grandchildren, Trennon, Karson, and Kayleigh .
