Donna Lail Mooneyhan

Donna Lail Mooneyhan, age 62, of 450 Jerry Crump Road in Lincolnton, died on Friday, January 11, 2019.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Rev. Chad Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. on Sunday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Donna was born March 25, 1956, in Lincoln County to the late Russell Audrey Lail and Luena Waldrop Lail. She worked as a chemist for Duke Energy, and a high school teacher in Lincoln County High Schools. She was an active church member at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Mooneyhan of the home; a daughter, Lauren McCotter, and husband Brandon, of Mt. Holly; a son, Stephen Mooneyhan of Carrboro, NC; a brother, Audie Lail of Lincolnton; a sister, Penny Newsome of Mooresville; two grandchildren, Maxwell and Olivia McCotter; and three nieces, Misty McIntosh, Kindal Newsome and Kayla Newsome.
Memorials may be made to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, 12221 Merit Drive, Suite 1950, Dallas, TX 75251.
