Scott Rhyne Beal

Scott Rhyne Beal, age 92, of Abernethy Laurels, Newton, died on Wednesday, January 16, 2019.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019, at Christ Presbyterian Church ARP in Denver. Burial will follow in the Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Monday prior to the service at the church.
Born August 23, 1926, in Lincoln County (Long Shoals), he was the son of Hardy P. Beal and Verna Rhyne Beal. Scott attended Gastonia City Schools and was a graduate of the University of Alabama. He was a veteran of World War II and retired from the U.S. Civil Service (Department of the Army). In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca (Becky) Spencer Beal.
He is survived by a sister, Maxine Beal White; and niece, Kimberly Carpenter.
