Darlene Trickle, age 75 of Iron Station, NC, passed away peacefully in her home with family, on Saturday, February 9, 2019.
She is survived by her three children Victoria Bowman (John), Tod Trickle, and Chad Trickle (Shannon), and three grandchildren, Lucas Bowman, Courtney Trickle and Carlee Trickle. She was preceded in death by her oldest granddaughter Nicole Bowman and husband Richard Trickle. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Dixie McMahon and is survived by her brothers Richard McMahon, Robin McMahon, and sisters, Joy Ziemann and Ginger Jeffrey and preceded in death by her sister Linda Pospisiel.
Those who knew her, knew that though she was a small woman, she had a strength that protected and cared for all those she loved. She devoted her life to being a wife, mom, and grandma and was the family matriarch to her entire extended family. She taught us that family always comes first, to love and be there for each other, to talk to each other if there was a problem, and to continue the traditions that were handed down to her to gather for meals celebrate birthdays, and spend holidays with family. We find peace in knowing she will continue to bring family together when she takes Nicole and Richard’s hand.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Warlick Funeral Home, 125 Dave Warlick Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092. Family will receive friends from 12:00 -1:00 p.m., services at 1:00 p.m., with burial following at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Lincolnton, NC.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
