Forrest Travis Brittain
( October 20, 1966 - March 4, 2019 )
Forrest Travis Brittain, age 52, of Stagecoach Road in Iron Station, died on Monday, March 4, 2019.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Amity Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Ingle and Rev. Larry Little officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 until 2:45 P.M. at the church.
Travis was born October 20, 1966, in Burke County, to Lois Brittain Brittain and the late Forest Brittain. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Randy Brittain. He worked for Duke Energy.
He is survived by his wife, Kristin Poovey Brittain of the home; three daughters, Heather Benfield, and husband Travis, of Huntersville; Jorden Ayers, and husband Christopher, of Denver; and Jessica Beard, and husband Jordy, of Lincolnton; a brother, Rev. Wayne Brittain of Iron Station; three sisters, Dawn Brittain of Hillsborough, Sandy Benson of Cleveland, TN, and Susan Welch of Iron Station; and one grandson, John Paul Benfield.
