Tansy Shull Jones

Tansy Shull Jones, age 72, of Chapman Road in Cherryville, died on Sunday, March 10, 2019.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jones was born December 21, 1946, in Burke County, to the late John Clifton Shull, Jr. and Rae Ellen Smith Shull Trollinger. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse K. Jones; and a brother, Virgil Shull. She worked for J.P. Stevens as a weaver.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Sigmon of Conover; three sons, Robert Jones of Florida, James Jones and Sonny Jones, both of Cherryville; nine grandchildren, Jesse Jones, Jamie Jones, Hart Jones, Casey Jones, John Jones, Matthew Sigmon, Jessica Sigmon, Jesse Jones, and Job Jones; five great-grandchildren, Melanie Jones, Meredith Jones, Sierra Jones, Abbigail Jones, and Emma Abee; and two brothers, Gary Trollinger of Texas and Jimmy Shull, and wife Gail, of Crouse.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Suite 999, Charlotte, NC 28215.
