Obituaries

Irene Hood Hoad, age 94, of Lincolnton, died on Thursday.

Mrs. Hoad was born October 12, 1924, in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Joseph and Katherine Kholfus Hood.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edgard Hoad.  She worked as an executive secretary.

She is survived by a daughter, Kate Marshall of the home; and a son, Glenn Hoad of Florida.

A private service will be held at a later date.
