Ted Junior Wilfong

Ted Junior Wilfong, age 88, of Wilfong Road in Lincolnton, died on Friday, March 22, 2019.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Crowell Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Freida Hobson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior at the church.
Mr. Wilfong was born October 31, 1930, in Davidson County, North Carolina, to the late Sidney T. and Etta Carpenter Wilfong. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Edna Johnson Wilfong; a granddaughter, Jessica Young; a brother; and two sisters. Mr. Wilfong served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and then later worked in textiles.
He is survived by three sons, Mike Wilfong (Anita) of Lincolnton, David Wilfong (Sheilah) of Stanley, and Alan Wilfong (Melissa) of Lincolnton; two daughters, Karen W. Young (Scott) and Linda Webb (Larry), all of Lincolnton; eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crowell Memorial United Methodist Church, 4018 Killian Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
