Ruth Hoffman Smith

Ruth Hoffman Smith, age 95, of Hoffman Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, March 24, 2019.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019, at Long Shoals Wesleyan Church with Rev. Jon Mann officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Smith was born June 5, 1923, in Lincoln County, to the late Miles Fisher Hoffman and Mabel Lynch Hoffman Rhyne. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ray Smith, and a son, Gary Dale Smith. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by a son, Richard Miles Smith, and wife Martha, of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Tanya Dyer of Lincolnton, and Jason Myles Smith, and wife Margarita, of San Antonio, TX; four great-grandchildren, Xavier Dyer, Xylie Dyer, Kaylah Smith, and Katia Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Long Shoals Wesleyan Church, 3032 Wesleyan Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
