Thomas Herbert Godfrey, Jr.

Thomas Herbert Godfrey, Jr., age 82, of 517 E. McBee Street in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, March 26, 2019.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Guilford Memorial Park in Jamestown, NC, with Rev. J.V. Allen and Rev. Jim Schall officiating.
Mr. Godfrey was born February 16, 1937, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Thomas Herbert Godfrey, Sr. and Robbie King Godfrey Whisnant. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Herbert Godfrey, III; and a sister, Teresa Godfrey Prescott. He worked as a general sales manager for Gaston County Dyeing Machine Company.
He is survived by his wife, Anne Fitzgerald Godfrey of the home; sons, Eric C. Godfrey (Linda) of Lawrenceville, GA, Jonathan W. Godfrey (Becky) of Lincolnton, Joseph M. Godfrey (Julie) of Greensboro, and Mack F. Godfrey (Tina) of Greensboro; two sisters, Donna Seeley (Ed) of Weddington, and Sharon Cameron (Stick) of Sanford,; a brother, Steve Godfrey of Sanford; step-father, Murphy E. Whisnant of Charlotte; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Boger City Wesleyan Church, 2803 E. Highway 27, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
