Obituaries

Lenwood Earl Prevatte, age 79, of Victory Grove Church Road, Lincolnton died Friday, June 7, 2019.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton with Rev. Stan Adams officiating.  At other times the family will be at the home to receive friends.

Mr. Prevatte was born on August 18, 1939 to the late Murphy and Wilma Otuel Prevatte.  He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Frank Prevatte, John Prevatte, Murphy Prevatte, Jr. and Howard Prevatte and two sisters, Margaret Phillips and Lois Lee.  He was a retired supervisor in the textile industry.

Mr. Prevatte is survived by his wife, Helen S. Prevatte of the home; one daughter, Amanda Monroe of Tar Heel; two brothers, Bobby Prevatte of Lumberton and Jimmy Prevatte of Lumberton; two grandchildren, Destinee Monroe and Michelle Monroe.
