Linda Loraine Brown, 68, of Lincolnton, NC passed away from cancer on Thursday, June 6, 2019.
Linda Brown was born Linda Barrett on March 27, 1951 in Dover, NJ. Linda was a brilliant artist, a trailblazing executive for NEC America and OKIdata America, and a local shop owner.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lee Odis Barrett and Elsie Campbell Barrett and her son, Christopher “Leo” Scott DeVinney.
She leaves behind her husband, Mark Brown of Lincolnton, NC, her son John Weaver III and his wife Kate Weaver of Seneca Falls, NY, her daughter-in-law Elli DeVinney and her grandsons Lucas and Max DeVinney of Tega Cay, SC.
She also leaves five brothers, Ken Barrett of Lenoir, NC, Charles Barrett of Taylorsville, Dean Barrett of Hudson, NC, and Doug Barrett of Lenoir, NC, and Joe Barrett of Morgantown, NC and two sisters, Darlene Frisbee of Gastonia, NC and Teresa Barrett Razza of Morgantown, NC and her dear friend Jack Weaver of Lincolnton, NC. She was the official “favorite” aunt to ten nieces and nine nephews.
A private gathering of family and close friends will be held later.
