Glenn Franklin Smith

Glenn Franklin Smith, age 85, of Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.
His funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:45 until 11:45 a.m. at the church.
Mr. Smith was born April 16, 1934, in Lincoln County, to the late Morman Clyde Smith and Ollie Edwards Smith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Rash Smith. He served in the United States Army, and later worked as a supervisor in textiles.
He is survived by two sons, Nathan Smith, and wife Janet, of Galax, VA, and Jeffery Smith, and wife Lisa, of Lincolnton; a brother, Claude Smith of Nashville, NC; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
