Obituaries

Richard (Dick) Ernest Campbell, age 76, of Lincolnton, NC passed away on June 14, 2019. He was born February 2, 1943 in Lockport, NY to the late Sherman and Mildred Campbell.
 
Dick was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He graduated with a master’s degree from Duke University (1967). He enjoyed teaching at Spartanburg Methodist College for 17 years. Dick excelled as an entrepreneur and small business owner. He also worked in real estate. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed announcing collegiate and high school sporting events. He was happiest relaxing by the pool with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years Jo Ann Campbell and his two sons Jeff (Wendy) Campbell of Medina, OH and Mark (Anne) Campbell of Lincolnton, NC. He also leaves behind grandchildren Alex Campbell (22), Madison Campbell (20), Savannah Campbell (20), Tobey Campbell (18), and Taylor Campbell (17). Dick is survived by his brother William (Linda) Campbell of San Jose, CA.

Friends are invited to remember Dick on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 with a visitation beginning at noon followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home, 125 Dave Warlick Dr. Lincolnton, NC 28092.
