Julia McLurd Harvey
( January 25, 1926 - July 1, 2019 )
Julia McLurd Harvey, age 93, of Lincolnton, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2019.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Crouse United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Harvey was born January 25, 1926, in Lincoln County, to the late Wayne and Emma Sullivan McLurd. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ause Mack Harvey, and a brother, Jim McLurd. She worked as a math teacher for the Lincoln County School System.
Those who will forever cherish her memory are her sons, Mack Harvey, and wife Sonia, and Jeff Harvey, and wife Rhonda, all of Lincolnton; a daughter, Janet Beal, and husband Eddie, of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Kimberly Beal, Natalie Roth (Nathan), Alicia Rhodes (Charlie), Michael Harvey, and Linda Harvey; and two great-grandchildren, Grace Roth and Riley Roth; special niece, Cathy Kelly; special nephew, Jimmy McLurd; and her beloved pets, Carter and Emma.
Memorials may be made to the Crouse United Methodist Church, PO Box 43, Crouse, NC 28033.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Ginger Helton, Tammy Lowery, and Anna Reynolds.
