Matt Hester, Jr., age 23, of Lincolnton, died on Sunday, July 21, 2019.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m.
Matt was born August 22, 1995, in Lincoln County to Hugh Matthew Hester, Sr. and Heather Bowling Edwards. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ted Bowling; and paternal grandparents, Faye Sigmon and Jim Hester. He worked at Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Shelby.
He is survived by his father, Hugh Matt Hester, Sr. (Stephanie) of Lincolnton; his mother, Heather H. Edwards (Tommy) of Lincolnton; a sister, Megan Hester of Lincolnton; half-brother, Lucas Hester; two half-sisters, Ella Hester and Ashley Johnson; step-sister, Christy Furr; two nephews, Brantley and Robert Bowles; grandparents, Renee Bowling, Jerry and Betty Snider, Steve and Regina Fredell, and Paula Sisk.
