Alene Leonard Smith

Alene Leonard Smith, age 87, of Lincolnton, died on Sunday, October 20, 2019.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2019, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gregg Plott officiating. Burial will follow in the McKendree United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3537 Maiden Highway, Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith was born October 29, 1931, to the late Russell McCoy Leonard and Kathleen Armstrong Leonard. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, C.S. Smith; and brothers, Leroy Leonard and Sterling Leonard. She worked as a cashier for Winn-Dixie for 39 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Christine S. Keener of Cherryville, and Becky Wilson of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Jason Keener (Ashley) of Maiden, Dustin Wilson (Kimberly) of Lincolnton, Katrina Wilson of Maiden, and Aaron Smith (Jordyn) of Gastonia; and eight great-grandchildren.
