Carroll Dean Heavner

Carroll Dean Heavner, age 77, of Blackburn Bridge Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, October 29, 2019.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019, at Crowell Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:30 until 2:45 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Heavner was born May 9, 1942, in Lincoln County, to the late James and Nannie Carpenter Heavner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Seagle Heavner; six brothers; and four sisters. He was a sweet potato farmer and well known and loved by many in the community.
He is survived by two daughters, Melissa H. White of Newton, and Crystal H. Lentz of Maiden; one brother, Randy Heavner of Lincolnton; four sisters, Mary Shook of Hickory, Ruby Canipe of Lincolnton, Judy Mosteller of Lincolnton, and Helen of Michigan; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
