Dwight Wesley Shultz

Dwight Wesley Shultz, age76, of Old Lincolnton-Crouse Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, November 18, 2019.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at the Lincolnton Church of God, where he was a member. Rev. Dr. Richard King will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Shultz was born September 29, 1943, in Lincoln County, to the late Lee Shultz and Marie Reep Byers. He worked for Mohican Mills. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed sunny days on the lake.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene Graves Shultz of the home; a son, Eddie Shultz, and wife Lisa, of Lincolnton; a daughter, Tammy Shultz Edwards, and husband Andy, of Dallas; three stepchildren, John West, and wife Michelle of Belmont, Kevin West of Shelby, and Kim Chapman, and husband Shannon, of Boiling Springs, NC; brothers and sisters, Keith Byers of Lincolnton, Reba Bluff of Cherryville, Vivian Taylor, Rita Rhyne, and Edna Spencer, all of Lincolnton; nine grandchildren, Terry Shultz, Michelle S. England, and husband Cameron, Jordon Lackey, and wife Samantha, Wesley Lackey, and wife Hope, Brittney West, Alexis Bahnke, and husband Brandon, Thomas West, Breanna Jones, and husband Brock, and Justin Clemons, and wife Courtney; seven great-grandchildren; and his special fur baby ‘Charly.’
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
