Obituaries

Lila “Joyce” Sigmon  Stoupe, age 90 of Abernethy Laurels in Newton died Saturday, December 7, 2019.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in the Southside Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Dayton officiating. 

Mrs. Stoupe was born on June 14, 1929 and was the daughter of the late George H. Sigmon and Essie Kate Goodman Sigmon.  She was also preceded in death by her husband;James W.Stroupe, two daughters, Dolores Stroupe and Linda Clark; one brother, D.C. Sigmon; two sisters, Pauline Link and Lillian Summey .  Mrs. Stoupe  retired as a beautician.

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
