Ilease Gilbert Johnson

Ilease Gilbert Johnson, age 100, of Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of the Reepsville Road in Vale, died on Monday, December 9, 2019.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tommy Lineberger officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Johnson was born August 9, 1919, in Lincoln County, to the late Will and Gertrude Johnson Gilbert. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Johnson; daughter, Peggy Conner of Newton; son, Jimmy Johnson of Vale; three grandchildren; four sisters, and three brothers. Mrs. Johnson was retired from Lincoln County Hospital.
She is survived by a son, Max Johnson of Lincolnton; two daughters, Betty Scronce of Vale and Maxine Armstrong, and husband Jerry, of Lincolnton; son-in-law, Max Conner of Newton; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, PO Box 7, Vale, NC 28168.
